Twice a day. Five times a week. Every Monday to Friday.
By Pastor Edward Lim
From Monday, May 18, Thought for the Day (TFTD) launches on Trinity Broadcast TV. Think of this devotional as your daily bread.
Start your day right by being grounded in the Word of God. Tune in at 8am to catch this daily devotional and receive your sustenance for the day. And if you miss it, there’s a repeat broadcast at 10pm so that you can end the day meditating on the thought shared by Lead Pastor Dominic Yeo and the pastoral team.
The idea to launch TFTD sprung from the prophetic word of God of calling us to go back to basics, which involved a focus on growing our Word Life in 2018. The Decade of Expansion that we are in is a season of enlarging, stretching, lengthening, and strengthening. Doing that encompasses coming back to the basics of faith, foundation and formation. And making room for God's Word and growing our Word Life is an essential part of our formation.
"The more you meditate on the Word of God, the more the Lord brings peace and helps you navigate through life," said Pastor Dominic.
The more we hear God’s Word and act on it, the more our faith will grow, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Only God’s Word will never pass away. As we plunge our stakes deeper into God’s Word, and draw closer to God, we will be unshakeable on our sure foundation as we live out the prophetic.
For those with a regular Time Alone with God or TAWG, this is a supplement to grow in the Word. For those who need a little more help doing it regularly, hopefully, this would help you kickstart.
The more we dwell in God’s Word and in His presence, the more we will hunger for more!
Want to grow your Word Life? Before tuning in to the devotional, prepare your heart with a personal time of worship. May you be richly blessed as you do so.
